THIS MESSAGE IS VITALLY IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE WHO RIDES A - TopicsExpress

THIS MESSAGE IS VITALLY IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE WHO RIDES A MOTORCYCLE AND ALSO ENJOYS OTHER FREEDOMS GRANTED TO US UNDER OUR CONSTITUTION. Last weekend we attended an event hosted by the Mongols called Save The Patch. For those who dont know, the Federal Government via Trademark is pursuing the Mongols for their logo, which is why they hosted this event to raise funds for the defense of their club and organizational logo. I am sure many of you are probably saying that this does not pertain to all of us. Its the Mongols problem, but you couldnt be more wrong. If the government can strip the Mongols from owning and maintaining their club logo, then that same government can come and get your clubs or organizations logo. Earlier this year in Sacramento, many entities, motorcycle organizations and clubs descended upon the steps of the State capitol for a Biker Unification Rally to also educate and fight for motorcyclist and clubs rights. Currently there are law makers and people and groups in our nation that are attempting to create laws that forbid us to ride in numbers of 4 or more. They are trying to create a law that would require us to wear a bright green safety vest. There are exhaust pipe measures being brought to the table and a defensive bill regarding motorcycle checkpoint profiling and discrimination rights. Like I said, I attended this event last weekend to see to my surprise over 60 different patches entering the event. A fantastic show of unity and support for a greater cause. In review of news reports of the Biker Unification Rally in Sac-Town it was the very same. Literally dozens of different patches supported that event as well. What is disappointing is the fact that there are hundreds of motorcycle clubs in California and thousands of clubs in this country. Aside from that there is millions of civilian and independent riders who can and would be affected by these unfair and discriminatory attacks at our constitutional rights and God given freedoms. Some of these clubs like the Pasadena MC have been around since 1907, the Hells Angels Mc Oakland since 1948, The Boozefighters have been around since 1946 and the Mongols since 1969. Maybe your club isnt as old but I am sure you are proud to be a member of your club and wear your patch and not have to fear the US governments attempts to take it away or make you wear a bright green vest over it or prevent you from riding in a group of your club brothers and sisters. Here is what WE REALLY NEED TO DO! They next time there are any rallies or events to come together in unity to fight these attempts to strip our freedoms or fight discrimination and place restrictive and unfair laws upon us, just SHOW UP and be counted and become a voice. So many of us can ride to a biker event or a clubhouse or party every week, but its time to add an event to your calendar that really makes a difference and saves our lifestyle, culture, freedoms and rights. DO IT!!! Please share with everyone...
