THIS WAS MY DREAM LAST NIGHT I don’t usually share dreams - TopicsExpress

THIS WAS MY DREAM LAST NIGHT I don’t usually share dreams but I thought this would be a good one to share. I found myself standing on one side of a typical American high school indoor basketball court. The feeling I had within me was one of regret and frustration. For some reason, I felt that I had not achieved what I had set out to achieve. I had failed in some sense. Then, suddenly, a group of children of all ages burst out onto the court and surrounded me. They were of various different races. Most of them were Caucasian. They all wore various basketball team jerseys. I can still remember the colors green, red and purple. They were a very loud cheerful bunch. The feelings and emotions they exhibited were in vast contrast to what I was feeling. It took several minutes before it dawned on me that they were all children with special needs. Each had his or her own specific disability. One in particular stood in front towards the right of me. She had no arms. She had blonde hair with a short boyish cut. I somehow knew her name to be Amy. There was another sitting on a wheelchair. I was told she was autistic but she had the biggest smile with some of her baby teeth missing. She was a chubby kid. In the dream I was told, starting with the girl named Amy, that “each of them has their own specific strengths.” I usually dream of people I know. But this one was different. It was in unfamiliar setting in a country I have never been to and with people I do not know. The dream ended with a feeling of exhilaration and a feeling well being. I felt the regrets being put aside especially when the child with autism smiled with her baby teeth missing.
