THREE ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES / TOWN OF RED HOOK Red Hook Police report the arrests of Mallory L. Gaschel, 24, and Ryan W. Belcher, 27, both of Red Hook as well as Ryan C. Hotaling, 31, of Kingston. On Saturday at approximately 7:20 pm while on patrol in the Town of Red Hook an officer observed suspicious activity in the parking lot of Hannafords Supermarket in the Town of Red Hook. Upon interviewing the subjects and conducting an investigation in to possible drug sales, the subjects were found to be in possession of more than 35 bags of heroin, hypodermic needles and crack cocaine. Gaschel was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a felony as well as possession of hypodermic instrument, a misdemeanor. Hotaling was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of hypodermic needles both misdemeanors. Belcher was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Gaschel and Hotaling were arraigned in town court and sent to jail on bail and Belcher was arraigned in town court and released on his own recognizance.
