THREE YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT TO THEN ASSISTANT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER OF KHADI & VILLAGE INDUSTRIES COMMISSION IN A BRIBERY CASE The Special Judge for CBI Cases, Nagpur has convicted Shri Prakash V. Chaudalwar, then Asstt. Development Officer, Khadi & Village Industries Commission, Union Ministry of MSME (Govt. of India), Sadar, Nagpur (Maharashtra) and sentenced him to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 3000/- in a bribery case. CBI had registered a case against Shri Prakash V. Chaudalwar, Asstt. Development Officer, Khadi & Village Industries Commission, Division Office, Union Ministry of MSME (Govt. of India), Sadar, Nagpur on a complaint alleging that the accused Prakash Choudhalwar demanded a bribe of Rs.9,000/- from the complainant for providing assistance in getting subsidy of Rs.4.5 lacs released from KVIC under Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP) for establishing a rice mill at Lakhori, Distt. Bhandara. After registration of the case, Prakash Choudhalwar was caught red handed while demanding & accepting the bribe of Rs.8000/- from the Complainant. After investigation, CBI had filed the charge sheet on 27.06.2008. The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
