****THROW AWAY SWEET MAMA NEEDING HELP**** A volunteer writes: A pretty girl...A lovely Boxer mix...The first thing I thought seeing Pippi in her arrival kennel. She was found as a stray but looks like she was in a home just yesterday. Indeed. Pippy is perfectly groomed, healthy looking and enjoys an excellent weight. She has been a mother once upon a time. She is leashed easily and walks quite well, eliminating immediately as we leave the care center. She is new and is a little tense, not thrilled to be tethered to a wall and have her pictures taken. She likes to be free in a pen, comes right away when I call her and sits on command and for treats that she takes gently from my hand. Pippi likes to be caressed and will come on the lap for hugs and kisses. She nears a mob of little dogs gathered and playing in an adjacent pen. She is curious of them but does not show any untoward behavior. I just met Pippi and need to see a little bit more of her once shell have settled down. What I know is that she is beautiful, attractive and cares a lot for the human touch. Pippi is at the Manhattan Care Center. Come and meet her soon.
