*** THUNDERSTORMS TO BECOME VERY ACTIVE TOMORROW & TUESDAY THROUGH PARTS OF SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND *** The trough which has given day after day of storms across most of NSW this past week is set to turn its full attention onto our Queensland friends tomorrow. Ample moisture and strong instability should make the perfect recipe for scattered thunderstorms to develop with some likely to become severe and with high moisture very heavy intense rainfall with flash flooding becomes a strong possibility, large hail and damaging winds are also likely. Showers and storms may tend to rain areas with embedded storms in parts so those wanting more rain unlike the last few hit and misses severe storms in south east Qld and Brisbane this is set to bring more widespread rain making sure very few people miss out while other areas get cop a pounding. Most of south east Qld and Brisbane may see 20 to 50mm over the next 48 hours but with the nature of storms some areas may see even higher falls. The biggest threat of severe storms tomorrow will be in the south east of the state and possibly about the north west Gulf country. Enjoy the rain and storms folks! Christmas had come early for some in eastern Australia this week and looks like that may continue for a while yet.
