TIME TO PRAY - URGENT!!!!!!!!! If there has ever been a time in our nation for the people of God to pray it is now. We cant pray like we always have and expect something to change. Our prayer lives have become so anemic and powerless that most believers have never experienced true powerful, world changing intercession. We were taught by example that prayers should be short, not too loud and not very fervent. GOD IS CALLING! He is calling us to intercede, to weep, to wail, to mourn. He is calling His people to gather and join together. He says, If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their lands. He says, Joel 2:15-18 NIV - 15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly. 16 Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber. 17 Let the priests, who minister before the LORD, weep between the portico and the altar. Let them say, Spare your people, LORD. Do not make your inheritance an object of scorn, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, Where is their God? 18 Then the LORD was jealous for his land and took pity on his people. Gather in your churches, in your homes. Gather with others. Gather with people of God who know how to pray. Intercede. Learn from true intercessors. You know, the weird ones who have been taking prayer seriously and talking about the sins of our nation and the need for revival when you were at ease and thought they were extreme.
