TIP OF THE DAY: Almost all performance-based training is based on moving from level to level. You work harder and improve, moving from a low level to a higher level. This is your bodys progressive adaptation to increasing stress. Over a period of weeks and months, you may be able to double your weekly mileage—or run those miles faster. The changes in numbers often are small; the changes in fitness and the bodys capacity to adapt to stress are great.
