TODAY, once again the GREEK COMMUNITY OF CHICAGO gathered in droves to celebrate with PRIDE, united, as a community, their HELLENIC roots....the GREEK INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE in the heart of what is known as GREEK TOWN, once more under a bright blue sky that mimicked the colors of the GREEK flag, took place showcasing the PRIDE of the GREEK population of CHICAGO...I as a GREEK immigrant feel a tremendous sense of personal pride that my fellow brothers and sisters have kept the flame of HELLINISM burning bright so that future generations will be able to revel in its light! ZHTO H ELLADA MAS!
