TODAY’S HEART-CENTERED AFFIRMATION By Eileen Downes “Spring is on her way! I am so grateful! Everyone is wondering if spring is ever going to show her face. There are a lot of mental and verbal thoughts such as, “I am so sick of this snow, I am so tired of this winter, Is spring ever going to get here? This mindset is understandable especially for the East coast dwellers. It has been a long, cold and snowy winter. Let’s shift gears here and thank winter for all the snow it bestowed upon us and for her gifts. It was great for the snow plow companies, the heating and oil companies, the ski resorts and the kids. Sure, it caused a lot of disturbances, delays and discomforts, but winter has a purpose and it served well this year. Now let’s go even further and thank spring for her beautiful gifts and be open to receive them. Her purpose is unique; she is about creation, renewal and transformation. She is about weeding out the old and cultivating the new. She is about growth and expansion. Today, get excited for her arrival. If you are reading this in the warmer climates, blessings, but you too can prepare yourself for the change of seasons. Let’s be like spring and start cultivating new seeds of thought, creating new ideas, renewing our sense of faith and nourishing our souls Let go of the weight of the winter and surrender to what is now. Spring is just around the corner and she will come fast and furious. Be ready and be grateful! Namaste!
