TONIGHT.... after the sun has gone down, the indie faithful will head towards a large blue building on Hindley St to drink, dance and have a good time. Parting with a fiver at the door they head to the bar to begin the ritual. 11.30pm until the early hours of Sunday morning they stay, nary a breather before the music compels them to move their bodies once again. Eyes are fixated on the big screen where cult movies dazzle and hypnotise. Then the lights are flashing and the punters eyes are briefly blinded then euphoria sets in and the dial is set to 11. All too soon the music stops and the crowd are jolted back to reality by the absence of the nightly musical stimulant. But when one looks at the watch, it is like time travel was not only possible, but had just happened. The retreat out the doorway they came in through is greeted with a knowing smile, they will be back again in 7 days time for the ritual to begin again. JIVE, 11.30-late, indie tunes, be there......
