TOP 100 QUEST: LAKE HOUSE, Daylesford, Victoria. After going to four fantastic restaurants on this trip and having some of the best food Ive had, I was wondering how good the Lake House could possibly be. I thought it couldnt match the standard of the others. I was wrong as it certainly did! Alla Wolf Taskers food is mighty fine and its no wonder some call her the Queen of regional dining - her food features local and seasonal produce and each dish is carefully considered and constructed, featuring a number of well balanced elements. Each plate is a work of art. This is unquestioningly fine dining, and the beautiful setting looking out over the lake doesnt do any harm either. Quite the experience, and a fantastic way to end the trip.
