TRANSFER TALK FOR THE WEEK * Ed Woodward has been in contact with Real Madrid chiefs over the transfer of Angel Di Maria. The Manchester United chief executive hopes his approach can dissuade Madrid from selling Di Maria to PSG. * Liverpool are hopeful that an improved £16 million bid for Swansea striker Wilfried Bony will be successful. The Ivorian remains Brendan Rodgers No.1 target to replace Luis Suarez. * Arsenal hope by waiting until the end of the transfer window they can conclude deals for Edinson Cavani, Marco Reus and Sami Khedira. Cavani would cost £51 million, while Reuss value is decreasing with a £19.7m release clause looming. * Inter need to sell and if Fredy Guarin does not move on, they will consider shifting Ricky Alvarez, with Monaco interested in the attacker. The Argentine will cost Monaco approximately €15 million (£12m). * Laurent Blanc has admitted Ezequiel Lavezzis future at Paris Saint-Germain, leaving Serie A champions Juventus waiting in the wings for the forward. Juve are prepared to wait until deadline day while PSG want €20 million (£16m) for him. * Real Madrid are monitoring Raheem Sterling but Liverpool are ready to offer the 19-year-old a new contract worth £120,000 a week. * Werder Bremen is still looking for a replacement of Aaron Hunt who left the club for VfL Wolfsburg in the summer and have identified Fulhams Bryan Ruiz as one of their key targets.
