TRANSFORMATION AGENDA OR MISINFORMATION AGANDA? Some of my - TopicsExpress

TRANSFORMATION AGENDA OR MISINFORMATION AGANDA? Some of my friends and my in-law travelled last December to Nigeria for their vacations but came back more disappointed by what they saw and heard. Most of them travelled to have a top class and a first hand information and experience on the actual state of development in Nigeria particularly their state of origin. Their expectation were dashed. They complain of the epileptic electricity supply, the unemployment rate, underdevelopment of public amenities and utilities, the high cost of living even when people have no job to sustain their lives. Disorganized society and dishonest leaders. One of them personally told me he never knew all these comments he read on Facebook were lies and propagandas. He was really disappointed because for some years now he has not be to Nigeria. He told me brother nothing don change o. One of them who lived in New York told me Fegi are no fit talk, we no get government at all. It was evidence on their voice and body language they were very disappointed and feel betrayed by our leaders. They were so disappointed because they allow themselves to be deceived by Facebook lies. I remember in one of our (United Esan Association of Illinois Chicago ) monthly meeting, when of the member showed me a picture ( photoshop ) and a comment on Facebook posted by one of the propagandist of the government during 2013 Independence Anniversary. I told him to call his friends or family member to confirm the story. In the next meeting he drew my attention to the issue which I have completely forgotten. He said this people na witch, there ojoro too much. He said he called five people to confirm the story all said nothing like that happened in Nigeria. One thing about development and good governance is that it is tangible and visible. You cant hide it, even when you try to hide it wouldnt because it radiation will always shine for people to see. Nigerians should learn to ask questions on how their money is spent. It is embarrassing at this computer age to see our government still behave the way they do. The legislators are our worst enemies, they have become the houseboys of the executive, neglecting and refusing to performed their constitutional responsibility. As citizen our responsibility is to support any government with sincere motive and engaged in progressive ventures. Remember, is your right to know how you are being governed. Dont seat on the fence you must be engage and involved on the way you are governed. It main not necessarily mean you must be directly elected or employed into government circle. Talk when things are not clear to you. Educate as many as you can of their rights and responsibilities, many do not know their right. Unity in diversity. United we rise, divided we fall.
