TREAT YOUR HUSBAND WELL! Are you a woman? If yes, then this message is for you. And husband, there is a lesson for you to learn here too. Please and please wife, treat your husband well. Dont treat him any how. You have nice and special plates to serve your husband but you have been reserving them and when visitors come to visit you, you bring out the nice and special plates to serve them. You have not been honouring your husband the way you have been honouring strangers and visitors. This is very bad. Please change your attitude. You should honour all men and treat your husband specially as the king of your house. If I come to your house and you serve me with a special and nice plate to honour me and you use an inferior plate to dish your husbands food, I wont eat that your food. You should treat me with honour of course but I dont expect you to treat your husband less or differently. I expect you to honour him in my presence. I will be glad to see you doing that. Dont reserve the best plate for visitors while you serve your husband with just any plate. Treat him well. Even of you think he does not deserve it, treat him well. God gave you salvation not because you deserve it. He gave you what you did not deserve to prove His love for you. It is the goodness of God that leads people to repentance. Your goodness to your husband can change his mind to start behaving properly towards you. You dont have to punish him. Show him love and he will repent and turn a new leaf. If he has been misbehaving lately, your good behaviour will change his mind completely. His heart will be melted. You have been yelling at him which has not solved the problem but now, change that approach. Cook nice food for him. When he comes back home late from work as a result of his misdeed, dont shout at him. Be a sweet woman to him. If you want to save that your marriage, you have to change your approach. You have to be lovely. I remember what Smith Wigglesworth did to his wife. He told the wife that he was going to Church too much so he would not allow her to go this time around. He said he was the head of the house so she must obey. Can you see where some men get into error? You are not the head of your wife spiritually. You cant stop your wife from going to Church. You are the head of your wife domestically but you are not her head spiritually. Her spiritual head says she ought to go to Church. He said she should not forsake the assembly of the brethren. Your husband cannot countermand the Lords commandment and expect you to obey him. Your husband is not the Lord of your conscience. Back to my story. At this time, Smith Wigglesworth was already out of fellowship with God. So he told the wife that she must obey him, she must not go to Church. Some men will start quoting Ephesians chapter 5:24 to support the belief that the wife must obey her husband in everything. They will put emphasis on in everything. You see, you cant obey your husband if he asks you to go and do something wrong or wants to stop you from doing what God wants done. This is because God will not side in with wrong. Whatever is wrong is wrong. If your husband says you should go and kill one of your children, for any reason will you do it? That is why we have to qualify that in everything. Smith Wiggleworths wife stood her ground. She said dear, you know I have never disobeyed you in this house. I have always obeyed you. You are my head and whatever you say in this house goes. But you not my head spiritually. My spiritual head says I must go to Church and off she went. When she came back from Church, she could not enter the house because Smith Wigglesworth had already locked her out. By the time Smith Wigglesworth came to open the door, he met the woman there. Now this is where I am going. The woman was so sweet. She was not angry. She greeted him good morning and said dear what would you eat for breakfast. Smith Wigglesworth was shocked. He thought look at the woman I locked outside. She was not offended. She was so sweet. He had to ask for her forgiveness and admitted that he missed God. You see, the woman loved him back to God. May God help you to use the grace that is in you to love that your husband that is out of fellowship back to God. You can do it. Treat your husband well my sister.
