TREATY OF COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE EMPIRE AND THE PRIORY OF SION I- THE DUTIES OF THE PRIORY OF SION 1.1- Defending the territory The Priory of Sion agrees to defend the cities, the roads and the people of the Empire as soon as the request is made officially by the Emperor or His Regent. This shall be done with all of the troops and knowledge needed. If the Priory of Sion agrees to a defending mission aground of the Empire, they are obliged to obey to the orders of the Emperor, the Regent and His Imperial Marshal. Any infringement will be prosecuted by the province or the imperial court as desertion. 1.2- Apprising the Empire The Priory of Sion takes commitment to provide any information to the imperial authorities, that could help prevent an action seeking to undermine the imperial interests. They have also to share all informations about their enemies.[/list] 1.3- Relationship with the Imperial Council of War The representative of the Priory of Sion has a seat in the Imperial Council of War. He is commited to be present in such a council, in the case he is helping during an imperial task, and participate in the discussions taking place there. He must follow the imperial news, in order to be ready when needed. II- THE RIGHTS OF THE PRIORY OF SION 2.1-Right of movement The Priory of Sion has the right to possess armies (IG) on the Imperial soil and it is understood that it enjoys freedom of movement throughout the Imperial territory. However, the order must ask for a permission from the Imperial Marshal and wait the authorization, before entering another province. [/list] 2.2- Freedom of act When it is not used by the Empire to defend its territory, the Priory of Sion, as an independent military organisation, has freedom to choose its own causes and missions. a. If the missions takes place outside the Empire, the Priory of Sion must inform the Emperor about the mission. In the event that the Empire does not agree with a mission that the army of the Priory of Sion is engaged in, the Empire would have the right to withdraw any Imperial agreement of collaboration they could have, to make sure the Empire does not share responsability in the mission. b. Any mission that takes place inside the Empire must respect the local laws. The Priory of Sion have the duty to report their mission to the Imperial Marshal or the General that has the responsibility of the province in which the task should take place. 2.3- Economic compensation The Priory of Sion can ask the Empire for a financial compensation in order to cover the expenses of the mission. The Emperor or the Regent decides whether or not such an aid can be granted. The amount of compensation is determined by the Imperial Chamberlain Sealed in the Imperial Palace, in Strasbourg, Sunday, the 15th of September, 1461. Ludwig von Frayner
