Since then we have been sleeping in a hotel without the knowledge of his wife. I have stopped this and repented before the lord but am still worried. What should I do? A. You must confess this sin to his wife and also to the church pleading for forgiveness. The church must know this so that the pastor may be removed from office if necessary. Q. I lied about my friend in court over a murder/ robbery/ rape/ case and he is now in jail for it. I feel bad and I don’t want to go to hell. What should I do? A. You must report to the court at once and confess this lie to them. Q. Before I knew Christ, I slept with my friend’s husband while she was away in a crusade. I have been pleading with God to forgive me because I don’t want to go to hell. What should I do? A. You must find your friend, confess this sin to her and plead for forgiveness. Do this with wisdom trusting in the grace of God. Q. I cheated in the national examinations but the result has not been released. What should I do because I don’t want to go to hell? A. You need to report to the examination council and if possible retake the exam. Q. My husband is a drunkard and does not give me enough money to buy family food and other needs. I have been taking money from his pocket when he is drunk. Can this take me to hell? A. To avoid hell, you must stop this habit, confess this to your husband and restore the money. If you can’t restore the money, you need to plead with him for mercy. Q. Before I knew christ, I used to work in a shop where I stole some money/goods many years ago. The owner of the shop does not know this but I have asked God to forgive me. Is my name now in the book of life? A. You must find the owner of the shop, confess to him and restore the money/goods you stole. Then your garment of salvation will be cleared off this stain. Q. I have been using fake receipts and forged documents to claim money from my employer/ government. What should I do because I don’t want to go to hell for this? A. You must stop this habit, declare these fake receipts to your employer/government and restore the money. You must repent. Q. I am a child of God. I used to proclaim false prophecies to people but I have now stopped doing this. Will God forgive me? A. You need to proclaim publicly to your followers who you made victims, making them know that you used to be a false prophet. Q. I was in charge of the church money but I took and used some for my private needs. The pastor did not know this but I have confessed this to God. Is God now happy with me? A. You need to find the pastor, confess this sin to him and restore the money you took. Q. My husband used to be a drunkard, womaniser and irresponsible so I divorced him and am now married to another man. Can this take me to hell? A. To avoid hell, you must get off this current sinful marriage and if possible reunite with your original husband in prayer, faith and repentance. Q. I used to have a girlfriend. After making her pregnant, I disappeared and up to now she does not hear from me. I have confessed this sin to God, will I now go to heaven? A. You must find the girl and the child and make amends with them. If possible, take her in marriage. Q. I am in a foreign country using a fake passport/ documents to work because am illegal. I know this is sinful but I have asked God to forgive me. Is my name now in the book of life? A. You cannot continue in this sin and expect God to tolerate it. You must destroy the fake passport/ document and plead with the authorities in that country to forgive you and grant your legal stay. Do this with faith. Q. I have been working with a false certificate but I have now asked God to forgive me. I am worried that if I confess this to my employer, I will lose my job and I may go to prison. What should I do? A. You must confess this to your employer, plead for forgiveness and trust in the grace of God. Q. I am in a foreign country and married to an old man for visa/passport purposes. He/she is too old and I don’t love him so I plan to divorce him/her as soon as I get my papers. Can this send me to hell? A. Since you are married to him/her you cannot get off this marriage until he/she dies. Q. Since I went to Europe, I got married to a new man for visa/passport purposes. My husband is back at home in Africa and does not know this. I don’t want to go to hell. What should I do? A. You must return back home to your true husband and confess this to him as you plead for forgiveness. DO THIS FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS. Ezekiel 33: 14But when I say to the wicked, You will surely die, and he turns from his sin and practices justice and righteousness, 15 if a wicked man restores a pledge, pays back what he has taken by robbery, walks by the statutes which ensure life without committing iniquity, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 16None of his sins that he has committed will be remembered against him. He has practiced justice and righteousness; he shall surely live.… Luke 19:8 But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount. Leviticus 6:4 when they sin in any of these ways and realize their guilt, they must return what they have stolen or taken by extortion, or what was entrusted to them, or the lost property they found, Leviticus 6:5 or whatever it was they swore falsely about. They must make restitution in full, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the owner on the day they present their guilt offering.
