TURKEY SHOOT to benefit soldiers and their families Ongoing, November through December The Heritage Family Association will hold a series of turkey shoots on and off Fort Polk, raising money for The Boot Campaign. Fort Polk will be the site of the first shoot on Saturday, Nov. 15 (from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at the Outdoor Recreational Complex; on Sunday, Nov. 16 at the fairgrounds in Leesville; and then again on Fort Polk on Saturday, Dec. 6 and at the fairgrounds in Leesville on Sunday, Dec. 7.
