#TURNTableTuesday time! This week were looking back at one of our favourite battle Djs ever! ie.Merge ie.merge exploded onto the battle scene in the early 2000s and brought a unique style to the game that was at the time, unstoppable. His routines were powerful and aggressive with a take no prisoners attitude to it all. He was the first to come onto the battle scene that was using pressed vinyl and although he caught flack for it by some haters, the routines were still so mind blowing that it didnt matter what he was using in the end. We had a chance to compete against him in a few World Championships and it was usually inevitable that he would come out the victor. He won everything from ITF World Scratching Champion, DMC Supremacy Champion, 2 x World DMC champion, Allies Beatdown Champion, Guitar Center World Champ and the list goes on and on. This was all within a two year span. Incredible. We havent heard much from him lately, but we do know he was working with Machinedrum on some projects. In fact, Machinedrum was responsible for a lot of the production in his routines and helped produced his battle record way back. Hope to see him emerge (sorry, had to) again soon, he was the illest! Peep game on his winning set from the 2004 World DMC Championships (fun fact: Drastik, 1/2 of Thugli, judged this battle!) https://youtube/watch?v=CoaErysvfGk
