TVLine Items: SVU to Bring Back B.D. Wong, CSI Alum Books Glee, Dick Wolfs New Gig and More Law & Order: SVU is bringing a familiar face back to the force. B.D. Wong will reprise his role as Dr. George Huang in Season 15′s penultimate episode, TVGuide reports. In the hour, which airs May 14, Dr. Huang discovers something shocking about a suspect during a psychiatric consult. Wong (Awake, Oz) left SVU at the end of Season 12, but since has made occasional appearances on the series. He returns as the veteran NBC drama is going through something of a transition, having said goodbye to original cast members Dann Florek and Richard Belzer earlier this season. Ready for more of today’s newsy nuggets? Well… * Gary Dourdan (CSI) will guest-star on Glee as Mercedes’ record producer, our sister site Deadline reports. Additionally, the actor has booked a recurring role on BET’s Being Mary Jane as Sheldon Armstrong, a retired civil trial attorney who has never given an interview — but when Mary Jane sets out to grill him, he is quite taken with her. * A&E has ordered eight episodes of D.O.A., a nonfiction series about a team of detectives who re-examine controversial murder cases in which unresolved questions still linger. Law & Order head honcho Dick Wolf will executive-produce. * In ratings news, Awkward‘s Season 4 premiere on Tuesday night drew 1.6 million total viewers, up 33 percent from Season 3b’s average. * Showtime will air Kobe Bryant’s Muse, a documentary about the Los Angeles Lakers basketball player, this fall.
