TWIB 9-15-2014 First off, thank you so much for your hard work last week. The SEHS game week is always one of our most intense weeks of the year and you all rose to the challenge and did a great job. We were able to get a lot of practice in, have a great pre-game show w/ SEHS, and our parent workers in the concession stand had a record-breaking night! And lets not forget, we won! I am disappointed the weather didnt hold up and we were unable to perform a regular halftime show, but I am grateful that our awesome kids were able to change course on a dime without missing a beat. Now that were through with South Week, it is time to turn our attention to the only thing bigger..petitions! But first, heres whats up for this week: Monday, 9/15: DL/CG practice until 6:00PM Tuesday, 9/16: Full RR practice until 6:00PM Thursday, 9/18: Full RR practice until 6:00PM, Show Shirt Thursday! Friday, 9/19: Football @ Brunswick. Leave 4:30, return 12:00 midnight. (detailed itinerary can be found on our website here: echsbands.org/yahoo_site_admin/assets/docs/ECHS__Brunswick_Itenerary_91914.25795252.pdf) Upcoming: -To fully prepare for our competitions we will have an afternoon practice on SATURDAY, September 27, from 12-4 for ALL marchers. EMS runners are excused from this practice due to EMS band activities that day. -Monday rehearsals for all students will start in October. We will only ask the full band to rehearse on October, 6,13, and 27. Runners are NOT needed at these rehearsals. -The competition schedule is: October 4: Coastal Empire Classic @ ECHS October 11: Garden City Classic @ Orangeburg HS, Orangeburg, SC October 25: East Georgia Marching Festival @ Statesboro HS November 1: Marching Mustang Invitational @ SEHS Thanks, and have a great week!
