Take interest in Interest Rates: In the past six months, major strides have been taken by the Government to bring down the bank lending rates. Right from the Eurobond and the Central Bank of Kenya directives- the fruits of the low interest rates will soon reach the common mwananchi. The last time the interest rates went down in 2004, the foundation of the property boom was set, and the impact is still being felt ten years later. This time, however, the Jubilee Government aims at having the low interest rates to benefit the small and medium enterprises, the youth and women. That is why several policies like easier registration of companies, and 30 % rule on State tenders have been established. Make sure you are ready for the great economic take off by ensuring that you have identified a field that you can participate in, and have the necessary documents ready.
