Talk about weird coincidences. So as at least some of you are aware, I spent three days last week photographing at and around an orphanage in Kenscoff, Haiti. So this morning, in line at the AA counter waiting to check in, I notice a very white American couple checking in with two little Haitian boys, and the woman turned a folder of official looking documents over to the airline clerk. Yes, they were taking their adopted Haitian children home - to Utah. So I get on the plane and the mother and one of the boys sits in the seats in front of me. Keep in mind that these two children had probably never been in a city, much less on an airplane...or an escalator.
