We have two icon corners; one in the dining room and one in my room. Orthodoxy has been so calming for my children. Theres always a steady rhythm to every day, such as praying every morning. Theres a steady rhythm to every week, such as attending Vespers on Wednesday and Saturday and, of course, church on Sunday. Theres a steady rhythm to every year: they know that when school starts (we homeschool and start when the liturgical year starts in September) that the Advent fast will start soon and then it will be Christmas! They know that when we sing the Cherubic hymn, in church, that its time to touch the priest robes, which they love to do.
