Taraba: Update on Suntais Impeachment Danbaba Is Not Incapacitated. - Commissioner Taraba State Government has debunked insinuations in social media declaring Governor Danbaba Suntai incapacitated. The Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General of the State Barrister Musa Tende stated the position of the government while breafing newsmen in Jalingo. Barr. Tende said the state EXCO has no power to declare Suntai incapacitated but only experts could do so. He added that only the Speaker of the State Assembly has the constitutional power to use section 189 sub section 4 of Nigerian constitution to set up a medical panel to verify the declaration of the Governor as stipulated On the memo send to the Speaker by the EXCO asking him to verify the health status of Governor Suntai, Barr. Tende explained that the constitution does not spell out any period given to the Speaker but the Speaker should consider the situation on ground to manage the matter.
