Great for a pocket or hand bag or on a belt with the supplied pouch. This unit is extremely powerful at 2.4 million volts and is made of Aluminium (the only unit ever to have this to date) which makes it almost indestructible. The others are made of plastic and will break if you drop them. It is small and also newer(less than a year old opposed to 6 years old), the best way to describe this would be to say that the others are an old Nokia phone and the 1503 is a brand new Samsung. It also is somewhat sneaky in that it looks like a really nice torch and IS a really nice torch and unless you are the owner you would never know that it is actually also, an elephant stopping stun gun. Lastly, due to the construction of the 1503, its head is designed in such a way that it amplifies the sound the unit makes when you discharge it from a distance. This is extremely important in that 99% of cases we have had in the last 10 years, all said that a warning blast from a distance is all that was needed to scare off any would be attacker. This is essentially exactly what you want to happen however, if the person still does not get the message you also want him to be dropped to the ground if you shock him and the JD-1503 will do that rather easily. The others, not so much.
