Teachers, Leaders, and Educators Recognized On Friday, October 24, 2014 the East Side Chamber of Commerce held their annual Teachers and Community Leaders Awards Dinner. The event is a way to pay tribute to those men and women who give so much of themselves towards the betterment of our community. I was pleased to join colleagues and family members in this special gathering. Among the award recipients were: Rosalio Alvarez (Washington High School), Patricia Carballo (Washington Elementary School). Sheila Dietz (Taylor School), Judy Katsaros (Gallistel School), Veronica Orozco (Addams School), Priscilla Soto (Annunciata), Bill Kress (East Side Little League), and Eusebio Mendoza (state Line Soccer). Thank you for your years of dedicated service!
