Teachers unions demand more money from the federal government and state government which results in higher taxes. Yet we have one of the worst education systems in the world. No amount of money can fix this mess. The public education system needs to be tossed out and revamped. This country sends on average 9000 per student per year in the public schools. Scores rank from 487 in math out of 1000 and 500 out of 1000 in the international educational rankings.
