Team Carnage Report NZDH Rd2 / WMTBC Rd1 October 2014 Long Gully Station Wellington The race weekend started off with taping the track on a beauty of a friday night. Great beer, banter and burnt bacon with the 2 Daves from NZDH, good to have you lads stay with us. Unreal weather for a race at long gully (said noone ever until last Saturday). Props to Carnage Trail Building wizard Harvie the Musc for an insanely lethal track. There were Carnage racers all over the place, including the ground, the gorse, the emergency department..... Awesome turnout, from Grom to Grandads. How amazingly scary was Aidans jungle van of speed death.... Mega stackers on the day were Ali (he still won anyway) Quinn, Hamish (unreal looking faceplant) Tustin the grom, and the ultimate one, Jarcarnage (did his race run got home and off to hospital with a lacerated kidney, respect!!). The podiums were littered with Team riders again, STOKED!! Hotlines Atkin won again and nearly died a couple of times on her second run, well done lass. Lloydotron smashed out another great result with 5th in open men. Findog got a solid third in u17 and his Bro Lachie won u15 again. The Decrepits had the top three tiers of the podium, Ali first, Stinky second and Badders in third, Sick lads! Young Musters was won by Dazza (we have to lure him to the team) Winward and we had a solid third by the reliable podium man, Tim Tams the goat Nobody ever mention ALF or Chuck Norris again please, pre race run banter at its finest or perhaps worst. Great BBQ back at mine after (i may have gotten a wee bit tipsey due to lack of food and too much sun, I think I outdid the Musc). Next up is Napier on the November 1st, new track and it looks real fast Cant F@ckin wait! Steve
