Team Spotlight: Team Darkside There are many words, which could be used to describe Team Darkside 1 & 2, however, the most appropriate is probably DEDICATED. This is because Team Darkside, originally known as Team Reset in 2010, has been a part of the RFTH-RAG since its inception in 2009. Many of its members were there to log in many of the miles with John Teeples in his first run from Columbus to Tybee Island. Since then, this team has been an integral part of the event in promoting, fund raising, and competing. Originally known as Team Reset because this was the term (“reset”) commonly heard among the morning runs as one in the group inevitably attempted to push the pace way too fast. In 2010, the name was changed to Team Darkside as a way to recognize the group of guys who often met at 4:00am to begin their group runs. While some of their participants have changed over the years, they are as dedicated as ever to raise money and run fast in support of the House of Heroes. Team Darkside, actually two teams in one is known for “laying down the hammer” across the state of Georgia. They are unique in the wide age span of their runners. This year, the range is from 16 to 64 (Bailey Counts and Cecil Cheves, you figure out which is which). This year, Team Darkside created their own Facebook page as part of the event. Please make sure to “like” their page to show support for RFTH-RAG. Also, please send your best wishes to them as they put the final preparations together for their journey.
