Team is in Braeburn and looking amazing!! 8 hours rest now, Hank has just polished off most of the biggest breakfast I have ever seen thanks to the Braeburn Lodge. Dogs equally chowed down on their breakfast and are now snoozing in the warm sunlight. That 17 mph speed last night? They were chasing something across a lake but Hank never did see what despite sweeping the shoreline and lake with his headlamp. He camped and had a huge bonfire going last night to stay warm. We are all chuckling that he left it roaring for Mandy & Brian and they along with Jerry stopped in the exact spot. Just think of running 40 miles through the cold night and coming on a bonfire magically waiting for you! Hank is off to sleep for a few hours and will head out at 8 pm this evening Yukon time. All dogs should leave on the team, Maverick has a sore wrist but it is wrapped and has ointment on it so should be fine by the time the team is ready to roll. Maverick was put back in the team some as he took them up the river a km out of their way.
