Tenured professors and members of the U.S. House are very different people. Tenured professors are able to say most anything they want without fear of losing their jobs. Members of the U.S. House go through job interviews every two years and every word they have spoken in their lives, is grist for the mill. It is fun to watch an MIT Professor behaving like a politician at the same time he is asserting he is not a politician.
