Terry’s time in Congress should be up I want Lee Terry to explain something. He spoke during his recent debate with Brad Ashford of not supporting the minimum-wage increase and wanted instead to provide training to individuals so they can earn $20 to $25 an hour instead. Exactly what type of training provides that type of boost in someone’s earnings? As a single mother with three small children, I obtained a college degree before I was able to start earning in that pay range. Unlike the example Terry used in the debate of his 16-year-old son who is still being supported by his parents, a majority of those who need the wage increase are in their 30s and are unable to leave the workforce for any amount of time that would be required to obtain additional skill training. I want Lee Terry out. After 16 years, he has proven to this lifelong Republican that he is wasting space in D.C. Debbie Kraft, Omaha
