Thank you Andri for sharing this very important information. The truth is that no area in the body should be stretched unless you know for sure it is shortened. If it feels tight it does NOT mean it is short and should be stretched. Athletes often excessively stretch tight-feeling calfs, that are actually feeling tight because they are overstretched. If you are not sure if a structure is shortened, ask a therapist or coach who has experience of bio mechanical testing.
