Thank you Catty Cavanagh for nominating me for the #ALSicebucketchallenge , I am happy to do it. And my nomination goes to Malex A-gabriele , Julieta Capria Brčić and Maria Jose Tuttolomondo .You have 24 hrs to fullfill the challenge , hope you accept it ;) I didn’t want to take time on the video to say something about what has been in my head for this past days when all this challenge started. Please , let’s not forget what this is all about!!! This is not only the fun part of nominating friends or soaking in cold water! Behind this game there is a serious disease that very few people knew about ,(myself for example! ) and this is a creative and fun way to let people hear , search , learn and talk about it. So let’s keep talking about this to create awarness and most importantly let’s donate to the foundations in charge to help scientists discover from where is this coming and most importantly how to cure it. On the other hand , there’s a lot of talking about the waste of water doing this challenge. At some point I agree with this , but only in the part that is not nice for those who have no water to see that thousands of people around the world are wasting water , even though I think that is easier to waste a lot more water in a daily basis than with the bucket we use in this challenge. I am sure that a lot of the people criticizing the ALS bucket challenge probably waste more water brushing their teeth or doing dishes with the faucet open, spending hours in the shower or washing their cars with a hose instead of a bucket of water and a sponge, for example I encourage those people to do something about this ,because just talking and doing nothing about it is not helping either way. So let’s all help here as well. I found this charity based in the UK that provides clean water to thousands of children in need around the world. The minimum donation (of course you can donate more ¡) is 5 Pounds which probably is what we pay for a cup of coffee anywhere and for this kids might be 1 month of clean water. It only takes 5 minutes to go to this site and help others help. I did it already and trust me , feels great ( and a lot warmer than the cold water !)!!!! There’s a lot of charites out there , but if you don’t want to take time to Google them here’s the one I donated to : waterforkids.org.uk I really think this is fair enough!!
