Thank you God for watching over the young man and girl we just found on the side of the road! As we were driving home from Houston we came up on a little girl trying to flag a few cars ahead (who didnt stop) and us down on the opposite side of the road standing next to a young man who was laying in the road with his shirt ripped off barely moving.. We turned around as fast as we could and got between them and the cars that were coming around a bend in the road just in time, jumped out and called 911 and stayed with them until they took him in the ambulance. Apparently they were walking on the narrow bridge when a truck pulling a trailer came around the corner with nowhere to go with oncoming cars in the other lane on the bridge, and even though he moved over as much as he could, the trailer hit the young man.. Thankfully, I suppose, it seemed he only suffered a severely broken arm and many large scrapes. Knowing how much worse it couldve been Im so glad he is alive and okay! Ive never in my life been the first on scene at a wreck, much less a hit and run (the man with the trailer did come back about 15 mins later though) and Ive never made a 911 call.. Definitely the scariest thing Ive ever had to see/do but it feels great knowing we were able to get that young man help and keep from something worse happening from someone not seeing them!
