Thank you Kevin Terry for AGAIN defending the Town of Oneida against N Newport. My brother owns the house beside Nora and I own the one across the street in front of her. Those houses are over 70 years old and the mortar between the bricks in the basement is dry, cracking, or even completely gone. I bought a sump pump years ago for my house. Bless her heart, she has sued and threatened to sue numerous times for this very same problem on her property (suing my brother and the town), I cant believe that Channel 6 didnt do their background checks and took this latest complaint seriously. There are so many people with legitimate complaints. The Town of Oneida has a history of bending over backwards trying to alleviate her problems--more than one time. The last law suit was against my brother saying water from his property was coming over onto hers and she had a request for dirt to be hauled in and her yard filled in so she could have a garden. I spent a lot of time taking pictures in the rain proving that the rain was not coming over the wall from his property....nor was it coming from the alley that the city has worked on several times trying to fix to her specifications. Like Kevin said...the rain is from the heavens and it runs off her roof. The town should have received an award instead of a bad news report.
