Thank you Taryn Hashimoto for posting this. we can build community by starting with community. Quite a simple concept....what do the people need and help them build from there. What if someone who lived in a limu (seaweed) rich place and custom could become a marine biologist combine their cultural knowledge and take limu to a whole new place in helping their community creating jobs around abundance and pride in place? Not bad. What if they didnt all have to be financial advisers, lawyers and doctors wherever they were (or worse had to leave) and maybe could contribute where they were? What kind of dreaming do we choose to engage in? Dreams that belong to others? Dreams from different shores that dont fit our place?
