Thank you every one again. Clearly Ive had an up and down few days. I want to stay positive for H so I am trying my best with all of this. It means a lot to see people commenting on the friendship H and I shared. I really tried to do my best by her because she meant the world to me. We grew up playing the board game Nightmare, dancing to Salt n Pepa (okay, it was mostly me dancing), using the Ouija in her crawl space (sorry Mrs.Blakely) and getting my butt kicked at Spy Vs. Spy. When I lost my own Mother she stayed involved in my life when many friends took off. Then, at the point my own problems became bigger than I could handle, she visited me every (underline every) day in the hospital until I got my issues under control and went home. Did I mention she was a giant pregnant woman at the time? Cant say Ive ever had a stable group of friends but, Heather, I could rely on. Always. I can only hope my best was enough for her. If you ask why our friendship was so strong it was because despite the ups and downs of life, we had a true sisterly bond. ...She also put up with my undying love for Bette Midler and the film Beaches. Throughout the years she has given me a bear that sings Wind Beneath My Wings, both the book and its sequel, this Christmas the movie. Which, one day I will watch again and smile. My little Hillary Whitley. That is friendship. Keep her in your hearts and use her as a reminder to do some good in the world.
