Thank you for following the Class of 2017 Lady Tigers! Words from Coach Graham about the team........"The team is comprised of 9 girls that have been playing together since the 4th grade. The majority of the girls are not just good basketball players, but good students and standouts at other sports as well." The majority of the girls are Jr. National Honor Society members. They have won the majority of the tournaments that they have played in including the Homestead tourney twice and the Norwell tourney twice. They won the State Championships at Spiece in both the school division and the Open division in 2011. They have progressed to playing teams that are made up of players from several schools or girls that are older than they are so that they can continue to improve and be challenged. In most cases they are the smallest team on the floor and have to work very hard and play together to compete with bigger and stronger girls. The girls and their families have prepared for this trip over the last few years by doing several fundraisers to pay for their airline tickets. Along with the basketball games the girls will have the opportunity to tour castles, experience Irish culture (food music and dancing), and go to school with girls from Ireland for 1/2 day. We are hoping to have a great experience that the girls will not forget.
