Thank you to everyone for your kind words and posts during Dads hospitalization and passing. During his 65 years he never wasted a moment! He lost his own mother at the age of 7 and moved to DeLeon around the age of 15 to live with his older brother. Some would say he had a hard life, but he wouldnt. Even in the end he never let us know how much pain he lived with and did not dwell on his own problems. He made us feel as if he would live forever and we believed him. Those who knew Dad in his younger days know he wasnt perfect. Most people either loved or hated him; there was no in-between and thats how he liked it. He loved a good fight! Gary and I grew up watching Cheech and Chong, so I would say he had an unorthodox parenting style. But he loved us and would do anything for us. He worked hard all of his life just to support us whether it be driving a Big A Terragator, peddling watermelons, harvesting pecans or driving a truck. Over the past couple of years he mellowed out a bit and devoted all of his spare time to his grandchildren, whom he loved above all else, and to his facebook followers. He loved facebook and introduced us all to stink plants, hula dancers, mansions around the world, walmart shoppers, outerspace explosions, prize winning horses, beautiful flowers in any color and his favorite - beautiful women. Were gonna miss you Daddy!
