Thank you to psbrad on Trip Advisor for this wonderful review. The best thing Ive ever eaten, is quite a compliment, especially in New Orleans. The food and the service was fantastic as was the ambience. The dining room is remarkably elegant, with its dark wood paneling and large rotisserie which projects the warm glow of fire into the dining room. The head chef is Michael Gottlieb. Before he moved to New Orleans, he and his brothers owned my favorite restaurant in Savannah. I believe his dishes have gotten even more spectacular and fantastically complex. The Waygu beef appetizer might have just been the best thing Ive ever eaten. The house baked oyster was over the top and the snapper appetizer was to die for. The filet mignons were Prime perfection and the sauces (Bernaise, house steak sauce, clarified butter, and a veal stock reduction) were exceptional. The Rib Room is over the top good. I recommend it highly!
