Thankful Thursday: About this time last year I had gotten out of jail and started this program that I am in now. (Veterans court/Drug court) I can remember moving back to my parents for about the 30th time, no car,no license, no job, etc. But I had a hope and wanted a future and to finally beat this addiction. I began my meditation every morning and every night. I gave God my first and my Last. I stopped leaning on my own Understanding and started trusting in the Lord. Shortly afterwards came my job, then my license, then my car, a place to live, friends who fight addiction too and there for support, and of course you guys(family). One day I was in the parking lot of Hasty Bake waiting on the crew to pick me up from work and of course I was just sitting there talking to the Lord and he was telling me to change my surroundings and people I associated with; Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a people person. And then a young guy comes driving through the parking lot on a forklift to go to the rear of the building. We made eye contact and said hello to each other. My Spirit rumbled a little. The next day I had an interview with the Oxford House. That same young man that was on that forklift lived here and at that point I knew I was where I was supposed to be. God works in mysteries ways. Jeffery Stout I love you Bro. Today I Thank the Lord for surrounding me with people who love me for who I am and not the drug infested person i used to be. Mike Wilson you are an Angel in disguise.
