Thanks Karpagam Kanagarajan for tagging me to list out the top 10 most books that triggered me. Yes Books are the one and only life long companion and none of any thing can beat it. Of course people having reading habits are gifted ones. No doubt in it. Before listing out the books ‘I like most’ I want to share how I admire it. I sense the books we love and like will differ according to our age, attitude, mood and also with experience. During childhood days even in dailies supplementary I only like Siruvarmalar, Siruvarmani, Ampuli mama… and in those days I wondered how these people are reading Vikatan, Kathir, Varamalar…...(In those days my neighbours read these only :P) But now the attitude changed. Similarly at teenage most of them like romantic kind of novels, some like philosophical novels, some like adventures and fiction stories and some love to read detective stories and some like historical based . I’m the second category. Latter when we settled in some circle, not only the liking of books even the movies, places to visit, recreation things everything may change. Because in our experience we hear/absorb/learn/decipher so many things. In that time we wish to learn those things, so we try to amass materials related to those, among them books are the important sources. Obviously we flip through those books and even we like those things since that is our needy in that time. But one thing that wont change is the enjoyment we are attaining while reading the books.. whatever it is. Sometimes even just having the books will give some companion and confidence. People who are like to read at night times always have a habit i.e they will keep the book with them even while sleeping. At outset it seems like hilarious but people who are practicing that know how much confidence it gives. In current scenario we decipher that many of people are willing to read and want to write something in social networks. But pathetically in current commercial world those things also commercialized. People are not doing these things whole heartedly/passionately, they doing these things forcibly. Literature can be enjoyed only if we make it to enjoy ourself, once we take it related to fame/money we can’t enjoy the real fruitfulness. I personally feel now what we are doing is the latter part. I dont want to declare as ‘the situation should be changed’ since the nature will revolutionize everything. Here goes my list 1. Revolution 2020 – Chetan Bhagat 9. மனிதர்களும் மர்மங்களும் - மதன் 10. டாலர் தேசம் - பா. ராகவன் I wish to add the entire works of Jeyakandhan’s and of course who will reject Ponniyin selvan. Can’t go without mentioning Sujatha’s Ganesh and Vasanth especially கொலையுதிர் காலம். And at last the Textbooks :) They are inevitable ones since that only feed us know!!(Though we don’t like to read it) but at latter stages we will realize how much value it posses. For instance during schooldays while reading Thirukkural for competition and also I used to scold Thiruvallur like anything!! but now?? Extolling him like anything!! So everything will change according to our age, attitude, mood, experience etc.. Now I am tagging Kannaiyan Daksnamurthy Nithya Kuppusamy Srinivasan Sakthivel Kathirvel Subramaniam Ramesh Kumar Sudha Sellamuthu to list out the top 10 books they like..
