Thanks for all of the concern and support. We are fine. The fire was pretty much contained to one room but a lot of smoke damage. While some may think were cursed, I think were blessed. Connor, while he has some minor physical issues, is otherwise healthy and fine mentally. Nobody was hurt in the fire (including the pets). A bookcase full of photo albums on the other side of the wall where the fire originated was completely undamaged while all of the ceiling tiles above it melted away. The only things damaged were material items that can easily be replaced. We are still overwhelmed from all of the support last year and appreciate the concern and offers for help at this time but please dont feel that you have to do anything for us. We have a place to stay and plenty to eat. Were thankful that it wasnt worse than it was. Thanks go out to the Wallingford Fire Dept and the American Red Cross for their quick response, and the people from the Village Green next door that saw the flames and came over to make sure everybody got out safely.
