Thanks for letting me join. This is me and my wifes daugher. She was born june 10th, 2014. On august 6th lacey was admitted to CHOI. We have remained her since then. On septamber 10th, her 3 month birthday, the doctors told us she has Leigh Syndrome, or something vert very similar, and gave our angel a year, maybe 2 to be with us. We wont have the exact diagnosis for another month or so, but this disease has taken a large toll on her already. It upset us that we didnt know about mitochondrial diseases, along with most of the people we know. Besides lacey and my wife, my life has always been about cars. So I wanted everyone to know laceys story, and also know that I will be making my car a dedication car to mitochondrial awareness, in hopes of bringing mito into the publics eye. Once finished, I will not only be at large car shows in my area, but hopefully country wide, along with mito awareness events. Know that me and my family are doing the best we can to fight for this cause, as im sure most of you are as well.
