Thanks for the kind wishes from so many after my apartment was broken into yesterday. In answer to questions: (1) Yes, this building was actually broken into three other times in the past year. Stephanie upstairs had several $K worth of stuff stolen, and now they leave the outside doors to the upstairs apartments locked for the security of those folks. And a downstairs apartment in the front of the building had its door literally busted in last fall. The people who had that happen moved the next day. (2) The police recommended security cameras. I will die before the landlord spends that much money. But I will be bugging the landlord to give me new locks and to replace all exterior lights that are out. There are some. I am also going to ask the cops for an occasional drive-by. That is what the crooks are doing, after all. The Brimfield Police Department would do it! (3) I got a new laptop and a new phone last night. Both are set up now, and yesterdays paycheck is pretty much spent.
