Although the President was infuriated by the interview -- he wanted to give a 2-3 minute puff piece on election day for why voters should support Hillary and the Gore-Lieberman ticket -- Amys and Gonzalos tough questions compelled President Clinton to stay on the phone for nearly 30 minutes. Compare this interview with OReillys No Spin Zone or the way Hannity cuts off his guests when they say things he does not like to hear. The truth is that both sides won in this interview -- the President showed himself to be more than capable of answering Amys questions and in complete command of so many issues -- and Amy was able to get answers to questions that the President had ducked for years and needed to answer.
