Yesterday while riding my bike, I was going down a small country road that was only a few hundred yards long. I noticed this dog at the end of the road sitting in his driveway staring at me. I figured it would be best to turn around and find another spot to bike. As I was turning around, the dog took off toward me wanting to eat me alive! I was scared to death! I took off on my bike as fast as my old legs would go. The dog had closed the hundred yards on me in a few seconds. The faster I went, the closer the dog came. I honestly thought I was a dead man! Just as the dog began to nip at my heals (I was going at least 30 mph), he stopped in the nick of time. My heart was racing at a breakneck speed. Spiritual lesson: Not all roads that appear calm and beautiful are safe. Always beware of lurking dangers spiritually and realize that some roads you travel on in your life should be best avoided. If that dog had caught me, I truly believe he would have eaten me for dinner!
