Thanks to Cindy Bryant for sharing this with us .... I Wanna Be Free written by Tommy & Bobby ... Today I just happened to catch Katie Courics show. Her guest was Richard Marx. I wondered if he would mention David so I turned the sound up and sure enough she asked him how he got into music. He told her how he had sung a Monkees song to his kindergarten class...she asked which one and he told her it was I Wanna Be Free. She said,I remember that! Davy Jones! She proceeded to sing a bit of it. LOL! He said he saw the way the little girls in class looked at him when he sang it and decided he liked that! (Kinda like Davids reaction to watching the girls with the Beatles on Ed Sullivans Show.) Just wanted to share that...he had such an impact on people. If you havent heard Richard Marx talk about how felt when he heard David had passed check this out.
